I’m currently in my third year of the MIT Sloan and Harvard Kennedy School dual degree program. It’s an amazing opportunity to be in both of these schools.
As I finish my third year, I’m starting to understand how these two programs more and more complement each other. The Negotiations course with a focus on coalition building at HKS complements the Tech Sales course at MIT Sloan. At HKS I am a Teaching Assistant for the Exercising Leadership course. The course complements the Systems Dynamic course I just finished at MIT Sloan.
HKS teaches you who the stakeholders are and MIT Sloan teaches you who the shareholders are. Both schools teach you how to deal with the different constituencies.
I’m about to head out to Nicaragua for my last spring break in grad school. After this trip, it will be the beginning of the end of my graduate school experience.
